Connecting Wealth, Empowering Legacies: Hong Kong - The Premier Global Hub for Family Offices (Dec 2024)

We are honored to support the recent visit of Secretary Christopher Hui to Jakarta, where he highlighted Hong Kong’s “4T” advantages as a premier hub for family offices. This event, co-organized by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Jakarta, the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Jakarta Branch, showcased Hong Kong’s unique strengths in a seminar themed “Connecting Wealth, Empowering Legacies.”

Celebrating the 7th InachamHK Anniversary (Nov 2024)

On November 27, we proudly celebrated the 7th Anniversary of InachamHK, and it was a tremendous success! It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces. Museum Cafe 8 stands out for its commitment to supporting those in need, and we’re grateful to Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) for facilitating donation to The Nesbitt Centre, its parent organization. The evening featured an enchanting Indonesian dance performance, presentation from our members on the Indonesian market, and exciting door prizes, including our biggest prize from Garuda Airlines. Together, we’re making a meaningful impact!

A Productive Visit: West Java Delegation Explores Export Opportunities (Oct 2024)

We were delighted to welcome Ms. Noneng Komara Nengsih, Head of the Trade and Industry Department of West Java Province, and Ms. Dewi Sartika from the National Crafts Council of West Java, along with their delegation, to our InachamHK headquarters on October 21, 2024.

During the visit, our chairman, Mr. Tjia Boen Sien, along with Director Ms. Zaujah Catherine Ng and our Board of Directors, had the pleasure of engaging with the delegation. Ms. Noneng shared exciting updates, noting that the non-oil and gas export value in August 2024 increased by 6.73% month-over-month. West Java recorded a trade surplus of USD 2.5 billion in August, boasting the highest export share nationally at 14.54%.

With a population of 50.49 million, West Java is the most populous province in Indonesia, providing a labor force of over 25.39 million, the largest in the country. From an investment perspective, the manufacturing industry is a powerhouse, contributing 49.55% to the region’s economy and ranking as the leading sector for investment.

The top five investment sectors in West Java are:
– Manufacturing Industry
– Real Estate
– Information and Communications
– Transportation and Warehousing
– Gas and Electricity Services

In August 2024, West Java’s top five export destinations for non-oil and gas products were the United States, followed by the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand. The manufacturing sector made the largest contribution to these exports, accounting for an impressive 98.63%. Ms. Noneng highlighted the significant gap in exports to Hong Kong and strongly recommended enhancing connections to bring West Java’s manufactured products to Hong Kong, positioning it as a bridge for exports to mainland China and the international market.

Ms. Noneng 分享 2024年8月非石油和天然氣出口額較上季成長6.73%。西爪哇在8月錄得貿易順差25億美元，達14.54%。西爪哇擁有5,049萬人口，是印尼人口最多的省份，勞動力超過2,539萬，是全國最大的。從投資的角度來看，製造業貢獻高達49.55%，成為西爪哇最大的投資貢獻產業。

西爪哇的五大投資領域包括：

– 交通運輸與倉儲業
– 瓦斯與電力服務業

在2024年8月，西爪哇的五大出口目的地（非天然氣和石油）為美國、菲律賓、日本、韓國和泰國。製造業對這些出口的貢獻最大，佔98.63%。Ms. Noneng 表示與香港出口明顯較低或沒有，建議加強聯繫將西爪哇的製造產品帶到香港，並作為出口到中國和國際的橋樑合作夥伴。

Indonesia Perspective Seminar 2024 (I) (Sept 2024)

The Indonesia Perspective Seminar 2024 (I) was successfully organized by Ms. Zaujah Catherine Ng, Director of InachamHK. Our keynote speaker, Ms. Ayu Wulan Sagita, Indonesia’s Consul for Trade Affairs, provided the latest and most accurate insights into trade, imports, exports, and future prospects in Indonesia.

This seminar was truly unique. In addition to valuable information about the Indonesian market, attendees enjoyed engaging commercial interactions and memorable experiences that were both joyful and fruitful.

Delegation: “Exploring and Developing Business Mission to Indonesia,” organized by the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association (HKEIA) and co-hosted by Inachamhk, was successfully held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 5-8 May. The delegation encompassed on-site visits to key industrial parks, factories, and e-commerce trade facilities in Jakarta, along with meaningful exchanges with local government officials and business associations. Participants gained valuable insights into cross-industry opportunities, the economic landscape, and various incentive policies in Indonesia, facilitating a comprehensive understanding of the country’s business environment and operational conditions.

Inachamhk extends sincere gratitude to HKEIA and all participating members, and eagerly anticipates future cooperation and mutual development.

香港工業總會印尼及泰國考察團 (2024年1月)

由香港工業總會舉辦的印尼及泰國考察團於1月到訪印尼雅加達及泰國，分別與印尼工商會（KADIN）及香港印度尼西亞商會（INACHAMHK）在商界高峰論壇上，簽署合作備忘錄，加強香港與印尼之間的商貿聯繫和合作。

商界高峰論壇由香港工業總會、香港駐雅加達經濟貿易辦事處及INACHAMHK合辦，印尼匯豐銀行為獨家贊助金融機構。活動吸引近200名來自香港、印尼的官方及工商界代表出席，就兩地未來的經貿往來，特別是數碼經濟、綠色經濟、ESG等範疇的合作，交流寶貴意見。
